"I would like to say thank you to all the seniors who poured their hearts out onto the Breslin Center court during the state championship game! You all are my inspiration and I promise that in years to come we will be back in the Breslin finishing what you all started :) What you all have together as brothers and teammates is truly remarkable, and I hope to have the same with my own team one day. Thank you for making this small town believe and good luck with all of your future plans! Thank you seniors :)"- Josiah H.
"It takes a split second, a split second to make a decision of wether your going to pass the ball or shoot it. Saturday night the team members of my hometown of Laingsburg made amazing decisions and represented their town in a way that cannot be rivaled. There are no words that can express the feeling of pride I have for the handful of decorated young men that played their hearts out on the basketball court. We are known as the wolfpack for a reason! We played as a team and we pushed through and rivaled another group of kids that were regarded as "The Best". The young men on the team may not have won that game, but that game made us realize that our young men had grown up. They played with enthusiasm and class and should go down in history as "The Best". There may be other names on the list of decorated basketball players to have come through Laingsburg, but Jake Zelinski, Shaun Mckinny, Ryan Wade, Sam Edwards, Cole Franks, and Zack Walker’s names will go down in Laingsburg History and be unforgettable just like their legendary coach Greg Mitchell."- Alex S.
"Think about your favorite movie about the sport you love. Now imagine living that dream and it becoming reality. Well, for the Laingsburg basketball team that’s what happened this year. They were living their dreams and doing something that only happens in movies. An entire town came together to support a group of guys playing basketball. That's something really special and something that will never be forgotten. This group had a community and many others supporting it. This whole town has living vicariously through each and every player-loving what was happening, and nobody was ready for it to end. Even though the time expired on the clock at that game, we really didn't lose. We had everything. A town who loved this team and supported it with everything we had. In no way did we truly lose. This was an amazing experience even for the community not just the players. I just wanna say thanks to the coach and the team for such an amazing experience I will never forget. Keep your heads up, because you deserve to be proud of what you guys did. Thank you." - Jake A.
"This season was amazing! The boys on the varsity basketball team are great! Sure they have great individual talents, but they make an amazing team! They learned how to play as 1 team! They worked so hard at practices and it showed at the games! I went to all the varsity basketball games this year, I rode the bus with them to the regular season games, and I can honestly say that I am proud that I go to Laingsburg high school! We go out as 1 team, 1 school, 1 community and show the rest of the world what we are made of! Those guys leave it all on the court ! They play with class and are great athletes all the way around! They hand the ball to the officials, they help the other guy up when they knock them down, they play with respect! I go out now, and people actually know what Laingsburg is! They say that they supported us or heard about us, or our amazing journey through this season! We have an amazing team, and an amazing community!" - Nick H.
"The team played so good and left it all out on the floor. They have nothing to hang their heads about because they made it all the way to the final game! This season they made history, and that is such an accomplishment. These boys aren't just classy on the court, they are also great people off the court and I am so proud of each and every one of them!" - Maddie B.
"I thought that the players played a phenomenal game and I think that we deserved it more. It was really sad to see the players so upset at the end, but it isn't sad. We made it all the way to final state championship! That's amazing! I'm extremely proud of everyone on the team and their efforts. I have been blown away by the teamwork, and the heart of this team. You go by the saying 'Be phenomenal of be forgotten'- I do not believe you will be forgotten." - Jay K.
